Teran

Dark, iron-rich, alive with acidity — a wine that could only come from terra rossa. Drink it with pršut, or with anything, argue the locals.

03 — Experiences

The osmica custom

An osmica is an old Karst right: twice a year, for eight days, farms may sell their own wine, pršut and cooking without a licence. Doors open, tables come out, and the whole plateau eats what the season gives.

Look for the ivy branch hung above the door — it means the farm is open. Etiquette is simple: sit where there is room, share the table, and never rush the wine.
