21st Rose Festival

In Nova Gorica, the city of roses, the 21st Rose Festival will once again bring together lovers of nature, culture, cuisine, and heritage. The scent of vintage bourbons has already filled the garden of the Franciscan Monastery in Kostanjevica, and colorful rose gardens will soon flourish in the city.

The festival is organized by the Gorizia Rose Lovers' Association in cooperation with the Municipality of Nova Gorica, the Nova Gorica and Vipava Valley Tourist Board, and with the support of the Franciscan Monastery of Kostanjevica, the Hit company, and other partners. This year, the Friendship and Peace Wine Cellar and Xcenter Nova Gorica (GO! 2025) are also joining the festival for the first time.

Between April 25th and May 17th, the festival will offer a wealth of interesting, educational, and social experiences. The program will connect tours of the Bourbon Garden in Kostanjevica and elsewhere in the city, walks among rose groves, workshops, a concert, readings of poetry about roses, culinary experiences with a rose touch, and moments of relaxation in the embrace of roses.

The experience of Bourbon roses remains at the forefront, and this year the festival will once again intertwine heritage, culture, and local offerings in the unique ambiance of the Franciscan Monastery in Kostanjevica, where stories of the past vividly intertwine with the pulse of the present.
