Drawing inspiration from the legacy of Lorenzo Da Ponte ahead of the passing's bicentennial, the prestigious artistic program unfolds through a synergetic network of international co-productions centered on the theme of "Freedom," where exceptional venues serve as powerful historical and symbolic co-protagonists.
The musical journey pairs timeless repertoire masterpieces, such as Giuseppe Verdi's innovative Aida Libera—staged in the evocative surroundings of the Spessa Castle in Capriva del Friuli and the monumental SNG Amphitheatre in Nova Gorica—with compelling modern works like Canvas at the Kulturni Center Lojze Bratuž in Gorizia.
Bearing extraordinary civic and emotional significance, the diptych featuring Luigi Dallapiccola’s Il prigioniero and Il sigillo will resonate inside spaces of profound collective memory, namely the A. Bigazzi Correctional Facility in Gorizia and the Risiera di San Sabba National Monument in Trieste.
By strengthening cross-border cooperation, the event masterfully elevates the region’s architectural and natural heritage into an ideal stage for transcending geopolitical boundaries through the power of art.
